While we understand that Prayer is communicating with God, it is important that we realize that it should be in His will. Sometimes Prayer and Fasting need to go together. We should fast and pray whenever we are truly seeking Him and His will for us and for others. Fasting is keeping ourselves away from our routine activities and food to intercede and seek God’s will. Nehemiah had a time of prayer and fasting when he heard that Jerusalem was in ruins; Paul and Barnabas spent time in prayer and fasting for the appointment of elders in the churches; Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights before He was tempted by Satan. Church, you are invited to fast and pray with us, as we envision Markham Missionary Church to be a beacon of God’s miracles.
If you are unable to fast, you are still welcome to join us as we stand united and pray together.
